Highlander Charter School

Highlander Charter School was named after the Highlander Folk School, an institution which was instrumental in the civil rights movement. Highlander actively teaches social justice in developmentally appropriate ways to all of their students, addressing the issues of inequity prevalent in the world today. Students are encouraged to explore their interests and passions through a rich curriculum, and Highlander focuses on empowerment of students and families to work together to solve problems in their own community by using the world as their classroom.

Highlander is an urban charter school that serves students in grades K-8.
